Cookies and similar technologies

HTTP cookies are small pieces of information stored by a browser and sent with matching requests. Local storage is a separate browser store that website scripts can read or write; it is not automatically attached to each request. Both can be relevant to privacy rules.

The inventory below is limited to the application code and local responses reviewed on the date above. It is not a complete scan of the live domain, every article or external services.

Verified browser storage

  • Technology: first-party local storage, not an HTTP cookie.
  • Set by: the Aregamer consent banner after selecting Accept or Reject.
  • Values: granted for Accept; denied for Reject.
  • Purpose: record the selected banner choice and avoid displaying the banner again while an entry exists.
  • Duration: no application-defined expiry or timestamp. It persists until cleared or removed by the browser, subject to its storage settings.
  • Scope: the current website origin in that browser profile. The local preview and the public domain do not share this entry.

A saved value alone is not proof of valid consent for any particular provider or purpose. No six-month lifetime is implemented in this version.

Analytics and advertising

The reviewed local homepage did not load Google Tag Manager or an AdSense script. The advertising components display placeholders. There is therefore no verified basis here for listing Google advertising cookies or a named analytics cookie as active.

Google Tag Manager can be enabled through application configuration. If a container is enabled, its actual tags, storage, recipients and network requests must be inventoried separately. Google Consent Mode set to denied is not, by itself, a guarantee that a tag sends no requests.

What the current banner does

  • Accept: records granted, sends a granted update for the configured Google consent categories on the current page and hides the banner.
  • Reject: records denied, sends a denied update for those categories on the current page and hides the banner.
  • Manage: opens this page. It does not open a category-by-category settings panel.

On a new page load, the application starts Google consent categories at denied. It does not currently reapply the saved choice to those categories, even though the saved entry can keep the banner hidden.

There is no persistent in-site control to reopen the banner or withdraw a saved choice. These are implementation gaps to resolve before relying on this interface to obtain and manage consent.

Clearing your saved choice

For this local preview, you can clear the website's site data, including local storage, in your browser settings and then reload the page to see the banner again. Select the exact website or local address you are using. Clearing only HTTP cookies may not remove local storage.

This removes the browser's saved choice; it is not a complete withdrawal mechanism for a future advertising or analytics service and does not delete server-side or third-party records. A permanent, accessible withdrawal control is still needed before such services are activated.

External resources are a separate issue

Fonts are requested from Google Fonts, and some article images are requested from external image hosts. These requests are not blocked by this banner. A lack of listed advertising cookies does not mean that no information is sent to third parties. See the Privacy Policy draft for these data flows.

Before publication

The operator must confirm the applicable rules, audit the deployed services, repair and test the consent controls, define retention periods, and update this inventory before publishing it as a final policy.

For reference, the French CNIL explains the ePrivacy framework, including prior consent where required and an accessible way to withdraw it in its guidance on cookies and trackers. This reference does not establish that France is the operator's jurisdiction.

The operator's identity and verified contact details also remain to be completed.
